I hate the exclamation mark! Yes thats right I hate an insignificant line and a dot! Why you ask?! Well I'll tell you!
Don't you find that it makes things sound a little too over the top?! I find that it gives sentances an excessive amount of perkiness or hostility depending on how you interperate it!
I really don't think the average person is actually as enthusiastic as the exclamation mark makes them out to be! So then why are we faking our meanings and making ourselves seem disgustingly perky or viscously hostile?! I Say we delete it! Make it obsolete! Break it's stem in half and leave the period behind! We'll scatter it's remnants around for the freaks, who actually are perky and viscious, to put back together! That way they can use it for their own sick pleasures!

i like exclamation marks though... you know my fav. are the periods... dot dot dot... lol... i'd die if i didn't have my dots...

oooh i love the semicolon!! its my favourite!!

ok so heres how the little guy works
pretend that ;="on the other hand" so basically it seperates conflicting ideas...it also can be used to separates short statement, makes a nice parallel structure :)

it's true. but when used in proper context, it works. i have nothing against the exclamation mark. now the semi-colon........ that drives me nuts. is it a colon? is it a comma? do you put a capital on the next word? can you change ideas mid sentence? it drives me mad...
